Welcome to Agro2, a new chapter rooted in old soil.

Located in Veraguas, Panama, our project brings together generations of connection to the land with a forward-looking vision for sustainable agriculture. We are creating a unique farm that blends regenerative livestock, reforestation, crop production, and on-site processing — a living system designed to thrive for decades to come.

Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to heal the land, grow nourishing food, and create lasting value for our family and community. Through careful land stewardship, innovation, and deep respect for nature, we are building a place where cattle graze freely, crops flourish, forests grow stronger, and life cycles renew.

About Us

Agro2 is a family-driven project born from a deep love for Veraguas and its potential. For four generations, our family has lived in and cared for this region, and today we are proud to invest in its future.

Our vision is to transform untouched scrubland into a vibrant agricultural landscape. Combining pasture-raised cattle, cassava and corn cultivation, reforestation of native species, and integrated processing, we are creating a productive, resilient ecosystem that respects nature's rhythms.

This project is more than a business. It is a legacy — a place where future generations can work, learn, and reconnect with the land.

Our Farm

Spanning over 300 hectares in Veraguas (and growing), our farm is a dynamic, diverse, and regenerative system in the making.

Our activities include:

  • Cattle for Beef: Rotational grazing on improved pastures, scaling to 500 head.
  • Crop Production: Sustainable cassava and corn integration, maximizing soil health.
  • Reforestation: Planting native pine trees to stabilize soil, capture carbon, and increase biodiversity.
  • Circular Systems: Processing cassava waste into animal feed and using solar-assisted drying technologies.

Every element supports the next — creating a farm where waste is minimized, productivity is maximized, and the land grows stronger year after year.

Our History

The seeds of our project were planted in 2005, when Dutch founder Frans Van Hulle first visited La Peña, Veraguas — the homeland of his wife's family, rooted in the region for four generations. Inspired by the vast potential of the land and his own agricultural background, he began acquiring parcels, eventually assembling over 300 hectares.

In 2009, Agro2 was launched with the vision of producing sustainable bioethanol from cassava. Despite early success and strong international support, changes in Panama's biofuel law forced a pivot to cassava food production. While the project introduced modern agriculture to the region, it ultimately faced challenges and was closed in 2016.

For nearly a decade, the land remained silent. Yet the vision never faded. In 2025, the project is reborn — with deeper experience, stronger commitment, and a renewed drive to succeed.
